ATB - Fields of Love (Holding Infinity Mix)

Download Here

hope you like it, I've done it for a friend who wanted a more up to date version of fields of love...while I think it's quite cheesy I think that the original just has something to it hope you like

percs are pretty great, but I dont really like the simple character of the bass.
The overall mix is very good, nice use of the melodies and super layering... but the vocals get a little lost in the background.

Its a track I would consider very well made, with a professional sound, but the boom-tiss rythm of this is just too repetitive for my taste.

Very nice! Original happens to be one of my favourite tracks and this comes quite close i'd say....but i agree with cybernetica when he talks about the bass being very simple. But still a good job!

haha thanks guys I wouldn't expect this little toy-track to get some feedback at all.

first of all, sorry for the simple bass...I just couldn't fit any other in there for some reason a rolling bass would not fit, and I just didn't want to use a farting bassline which is so popular around here these days.

and yeah, the vocals are a bit lost there, since I did not have any separated samples from the original, what you hear is a sidechained original divided to many frequency bands, each of them has a different sidechain, so the vocals for example don't duck too much at all...(but they do) that's also a half-reason for having to keep the boom tiss style.

thanks!

Never been a huge ATB fan but still a good remix.

I do think it could benefit by layering one of those warm analog-ish basses. Not a harsh saw or anything, just something wide and a little detuned or overdriven. I don't mind the bass as is and I don't think it detracts from the overall quality, but a little more personality could still improve it.

Can't hear the vocals at all. I get the whole bootleg thing, had to deal with that on my old 2Pac remix, but if they're going to be that quiet, then I think you should just make it an instrumental track.

No other complaints. You've got a great arrangement and good mixing. Nicely done!

I agree with this comment about the vocals. Otherwise, I thought it was great. Another track to add to the booster collection
