There's this idiot on another forum I usually go to, dedicated to filesharing (not related to music), that usually puts several 1 GB+ files per day, divided into dozens of little .rar pieces, all uploaded to rapidshare... when there's a FTP server available for all users of that forum, with huge space available and bandwidth.

People are fucking dumb.

This is a misguided truth. The others delete the files if there is no activity on them for a determinate period of time, whereas rapidshit has a longer finite retention rate that isn't based off of activity.

well because most people just copy paste links they find so user a on some random form reposts the link on another claiming its own.

and rapid share was one of the first filedumps and people still buy their premium accounts / there was a way to get free premium, not sure if it still exists.

the real pros use fxp/ftp though but you have to be a baller and a half to get them connections

b/c rapidshare is fast. if u dont like the cats, then use rapidshare around the 7-9pm eastern time slot and u can download whatever, without entering a code.

still get that fucking download limit tho.. if youre gonna d/l say 5 files at 100 mb each, youd have to wait 140 minutes after starting each download..

if it was just a 1 file-at-a-time limit, thats fine, but having to wait for hrs until u can download again is fucked up..

Just buy a premium and the cats will be gone. By the way they make it more easy to recognize where are the cats. Anyway rapidshare gives me a very good speed (about 300-500 kb/s), so I don't hate it. The only bad thing is waiting between the downloads
