How do you feel?

I'm writing a paper regarding intellectual property (copyright shit), and I wanted some feedback from fellow DJ's. How do you guys feel about recording a mix for promotional use and handing it out. Its technically illegal, but I feel we are just promoting the track/producer. I can kinda understand where the record industry is coming from too though. If they cant sell it they cant afford to pay the artist or producer. Any feedback will do

I'm sure a fair few dj's browse this section of the forum too, but you'd probably get a better response by posting this in the DJ Booth or DJ Promotion section
