I think I'll still take God's Kitchen over this too, but it is at twice the price for one day.

Did I see the word "beach?" OMG, WEMF is going to be good. I can't wait!!! Don't forget about the TA campsite for anyone who is interested. I'm going to try and get there as early as possible like last year and pick a camp spot right by the Destiny stage. Last year my friends and I had an awesome spot!!!

Pulser

Pulser Bio:

If you have been anywhere near a major club in the last 4 years, chances are you have got off your nut to a track written, remixed or produced by Andy Perring.

1999 saw Spiritualised by THE OLMEC HEADS released on Neo Records. The track was a huge hit with all the major-league DJs. Alex Gold of Extravaganza Records described Spiritualised as The Biggest tune heard at Privilege in Ibiza throughout 99.

The Olmec Heads, followed up with a string of top remixes for artists such as Moby, Apollo 440 and The Space Brothers before releasing their follow-up, a menacing trance tune called Magicman.

During this period Andy branched out and created PULSER. The first track under his new guise was CLOUDWALKING, released on fledgling UK label ATCR. Cloudwalking again smashed it and established Pulser as a major new name in Trance. Pulsers second outing LIGHTWAVE was on Andys own label Activation Records and achieved fantastic exposure for the new imprint, making several major dance compilations around the world.

Never one to stand still, Andy is also one half of INSIGMA alongside Steve Helstrip of The Thrillseekers. Insigmas first release also titled Insigma hit the mark with Pete Tong who played it week in, week out on Radio One. Mixing driving progressive trance rhythms with blissed-out melodies, Insigmas follow up Open our Eyes is pure dynamite, the fuse of which was lit by Paul Oakenfold and DJ Tiesto. Both DJs have continued to support the record since its initial promos were released in Jan 2001. VC records have since snapped it up and will unleash the new vocal mixes early 2002 and if 25,000 people at this years Gatecrashers Summer Sound System are anything to go by, it is set to become one of 2002s biggest Anthems.

Andy has also teamed up with writer Danny Kirsch, responsible for several top 40 tracks including the Top 10 track by Lange- Drifting Away. The act is entitled Sacred and have already been snapped up by BMG Publishing.

Finding time for Djing with such a heavy studio schedule can be difficult, but Andy can also be found out and about on the 1s and 2s. Confirmed gigs for 2002 include Luners (Japan), Red (Cyprus), Plaza Of Nations (Vancouver), Devoted To Trance (Finland), Agent 05 (Finland) and his residency Illusions (Finland.) Andy is also planning to increase his DJing activities and has secured high profile slots at some of UKs most prestigious club/festivals. Andy is equally at home warming up or smashing it with his main sets, Andy can appeal to many different floors whilst remaining an inventive and original DJ.

Looking forward to 2002, Andy will be releasing a new PULSER single in the spring. His remixes continue to dominate the floors of Gatecrasher, Godskitchen and Passion, with current monsters including JOSE AMNESIAs THE ETERNAL and his dark & tribal mix of MATT DAREYs classic BEAUTIFUL, which has just received the accolade of being made Judge Jules Tried and Tested tune. Future remixes include FAITHLESS -DRIFTING AWAY and he is just about start remixing the new DIDO single, from her new album.

Holy shit !!!

Pulser alone is worth going to a party !!! Add Lange and Yves Deruyter
and you get an amazing line-up !!

Damn. I sure hope I can go to WEMF this year !!

Posted by InfiniteSquare on May-18-2002 21:08:

Question b00m b00m

Thank you for bringing in Lange and Yves De Ruyter...they both fuckin' rock. As for next year, try and get less UK Djs and more Holland / German Trance Djs.

WEMF IS GONNA BE AMAZING

I don't even care who's there out of all the "superstar" dj's and all that jazz, I'm sure all of the dj's will be good, and there's so much variety in all the music played that there has to be some kind of music that u like, whether it's hard house (MEEEEEE!!!!) or like drum n bass (no thanks)....I'm into all the hardhouse and hardtrance i can get so it's gonna be amazing
it's gonna be my first big party so I'm soooooooo pumped.....

what are the rules on sleeping and stuff? can u bring tents? and will they search through all your stuff at the entrance, like sleeping bags and tents and stuff? or will they just give it a once-over kinda thing and not really worry about it? I gotta figure out a strategy here....

yes you can bring tents, and are encouraged to so you're not sleeping on a patch of grass somewhere haha

there will be seas of tents there...hundreds of them
basically bring anything you would if you were going camping, but keep in mind that it is still a public event so you won't have any luck trying to bring in knives or anything

and you are search quite thoroughly at the entrance
depending on if the parking is onsite this year

last year it was not, so you had to carry all your stuff in, and everything was searched...
the year before parking was onsite so the passengers had to get out and get a body search while the car would get raped...

so if indeed it is onsite...i would try to organize your stuff so that it is easily searchable to avoid having to clean up a huge mess after being searched

Posted by Dj_Ionize on Jun-03-2002 14:25:

Smoking ..umm..something

knives? I don't want to bring knives, just drugs....lol...
so like what if u want to get blazed? how should i get my stuff in?
I only want to bring some weed, nothing serious or anything, but what do u think is the best way to get it in? all u people that have been before, help me out on this one!

Posted by Curious Jed on Jun-03-2002 16:36:

dude, don't worry about the search. i've been to the past 3 wemfs, and each time i haven't had a thorough search. they basically just ask what is in each of your bags (ie clothes, tent, etc.) just hide all your goodies non visibly, and you should be in for an amazing weekend.

this wemf looks like a solid weekend, can't wait to finally see kevin energy, even if i have to venture from destiny to hullabaloo. eww, hello rave sludge

Wow, WEMF is going to be your first big party. Well, you're going to be in for some fun. I went to WEMF for the first time last year. We took a small tent and a cooler with sandwiches and a case of water. The search at the entrance wasn't strict at all. Some people had to take their tents out of the boxes so security could check it thoroughly. We didn't. Guess it depends on who you get but remember, there's going to be tons of people and they'll want the lineup to move as quickly as possible so the search shouldn't be too bad (i hope). My advice, just bring a small tent, a few blankets, a case of water, some snack food and that's it. If you bring too much, you're going to regret it cuz by time the party is over, you'll be too tired to lug everything back to the car.
