Constant arguing on MTLTA

so what's the deal here? isn't this supposed to be a place where everyone comes and shares stories, news, events and info on anything EDM related?

i check these forums all the time (mostly cause i'm bored at work) to see what's going on in OUR city, but lately all i see is arguing and insults. i think it's enough already. this is the most negative forums board i have ever encountered. it's getting pretty tiring and even though this is ONLY a forums board, i think more respect has to go around.

i've been participating less and less on these boards because of this reason. i think some people have to start chilling out a little.

if it's on topic, i don't give two shits. but when it's always getting dirty and personal, you don't find that tiring?

a little personal and a little dirty is fun... people taking it all too seriously is the shit part.

some people come around just to joke around a bit and some people don't realize that and start taking things seriously-

then again there are some cases which have gone just too far... but thats far from the norm

don't get me wrong....i'm on here for the same reasons as the next person...but that whole fucking deadmau5-stereohead thing was wayyyyy too much. at first it was funny as hell...but then, it just kept going and going and going and going. it just got sooooooooooooo lame. it started as jokes and then got twisted into something not even remotely funny, hence, the reason for this thread.

when you add the word discussion to discussion board you are bound to get disagreements. The thing is as long as it doesn`t cross a certain line (and i`ve done it to boot), it adds spice to a place that not that many people visit in the first place. If you take things too seriously, you have more of a problem than anyone who might post the stuff that caused that reaction. This isn`t life, but a music forum with die hard nerds that bust nuts over it. Its not a bad thing.

I think it has to do with a matter of musical tastes...but some peeps take negative comments wayyyyyy too personal. People should be more objective when it comes to respecting what one like and dislikes. (easier said then done)

The people who get angry or don't like what Stereoheads comments are people who don't know her or have met her personally...so some will take her stuff the wrong way. I know where she was coming from...and the stuff she said about Deadmau5 is nothing new. Dj's and EDM listeners have said the samething...for the amount of hate he recieves...he gets just as much love too...t'is why i don't understand why he bothers posting here love him or hate him...i thought he had better things to do.
