Least favorite commercials

Apologies to the people from other countries that don't see the commercials in America. All I can say is thank God for the DVR so I can fast forward through commercials. Which ones piss you guys off the most right now? I can't stand these:
1) Charles Barkley/Dwayne Wade T-Mobile "Fave-5" commercials
2) Ashton Kutcher Nikon Coolpix commericals
3) The whole "he went to Jared" series
4) Viva Viagra and the shrinking prostate medication ones
5) Anything having to do with Geico Insurance

Anyone else?

Get outside. Read a book.

Posted by The17sss on May-17-2008 21:51:

LOL... I guess your multitude of posts happen as you spend your time on the computer outside?

Posted by Silky Johnson on May-17-2008 21:55:

No, you moron. They happen when I'm sitting at my computer.

If there's one thing you can say about the superiority of Internet browsing, it's that the experience isn't interrupted every eight minutes by loud, annoying idiots trying to sell you stuff.

Preach on!

And Jenny... it's called sarcasm. Obviously I didn't think you were spending your time on the computer outside. Just thought it was ironic advice from you

Posted by Silky Johnson on May-17-2008 22:01:

How is it ironic? I've been on these forums for 5 years, of course I have a high post count, idiot. Nice try though.

Ironic because the person with over 5000 posts, who I read multiple posts from on almost every topic, is telling me I need to get out more and read a book. Calling me an idiot and moron because I don't think exactly like you is pretty open minded though

Not with Firefox anyways.

And Jenny is right: going to the internet to discuss your distaste for television commercials is like, a whole new level. Way to be a detriment to conversation by talking about shit nobody really cares about.

I didn't "go on the internet" to bring up the topic, I was in the chill out room and it popped into my head, so I posted it. A whole new level? What about the topics on Japanese rape video games, butt sex, and asking advice on weather or not to fuck a pyscho girl before ending the relationship? I suppose those are the topics of substance

Is this a serious post?

Of course those are topics of substance... or am I missing something here?

What the hell is wrong with you.

That wasn't a question. I don't want you to answer. Go think about what you have done here today and maybe we will see about your continued status here. You're just lucky I don't tell HR about this little incident.

Haha... I'll take you up on the ball Jenny

Halcyon.... uh, I don't get it. I don't know who you are and can't tell if you're serious or not about the "continued status" thing. If you are, someone already tried to get me banned thinking I was an ALT, which I'm not, and I had to get that worked out. Shit man I'm just like anyone else, throwing out random thoughts on the TA forums cuz it seems like a pretty interesting place with interesting people... not trying to make enemies or get in fights. let's hug it out!

FUCK do I hate those. I don't pay enough attention to give you any other ones, but I want to throw something at the tv whenever I hear one of those in the background (fu, jenny. I leave it on sportscenter or nfl network all day, even though it's behind me when I'm at the computer ).

I will never step foot in any of those stores, except possibly to alert them to the fact that I just bought a ring somewhere else because I've always loathed their commercials and didn't even bother looking there.

I heard a commercial on XM radio the other day where the stinkbag announcer repeated the frigging phone number 10 times.

I have no idea what it was for or what the number was so fuck your non-effective repeatin' ass commercial XM!

repitition works though, i still know the number to call to donate money during a fund raiser on albany's npr station

Also, Olive Garden commercials are the bane of my existance. Easily the worst commercials on tv.

I think I make myself NOT remember it out of spite.

But it does remind me of the old Empire carpet commercials:

5 - 8 - 8 - 2 - 300 Empiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiire!!

I still know that number today even though I haven't seen a commercial since I was probably 12!
