Why do Sasha & Digweed both have sh*tty attitude?

Went to this Sasha & Digweed gig yesterday, I was psyched to finally see them play together, see the Maven with my own eyes and shit.

The set was excellent (especially Digweed's part) whereas I was kinda dissapointed by Sasha's little use of the Maven during his set but the main downside was THAT THEY BOTH SHOWED A SHITTY ATTITUDE FOR 4 HOURS!!!

They didn't want anyone to take a picture of them (yeah, you show yourself as a huge DJ in front of thousands of people but you don't want your picture to e taken...)

They NEVER smiled or showed any compassion with the crowd.

Fans (including me) were automatically dissed when approaching one of the two guys.

And other things...

To make a long story short, it was like this: come to the club, set up gear, play, get cash and fuck off.

Why are they acting this way? Has it always been like that with them?

were you trying to talk to them while they were playing? Have you ever had someone come in the booth when you were in the zone? Its really distracting

No he wasn't even in the booth when I walked up to him.

Probably they get frustrated and annoyed by legions of fanboys coming up to them and asking questions.

I'm pretty sure I would.

Well you can't build a lot of hype around yourself making compilations like Involver 2 and hope to not have legions of fans.

Why don't they state it clearly (like on their myspace or something) instead of dissapointing fans at every gig?

thats not cool but what can you do.... if you still had a good time music-wise don`t let that spoil the nite.

and you say he treated everyone the same, how is that a diss to you then...

Men have periods too ya know. It's just that they have smaller cycles that interact more (phasing in and out) with each other so it's hard to predict.

Or maybe they're just completely annoyed and jaded of 20 years of obnoxious girls going up to them screaming "CANITACKYOPICKCHAHHHHH!" If I were a DJ for 20 years I'd kill myself.

There's nothing more annoying in this world than random cunts tapping on your shoulder asking stupid questions.

Except the ones doing it and making whiney threads about it afterwards.

If you want hugs+smiles+compassion you're at the right place, just asking the wrong people. Look for the ones similar to my avatar.

Don't understand people going to events to see the personality/attitudes of performers. You said it yourself, their set was excellent. Mission accomplished.

Nothing wrong with wanting to see your performer at work, but why the need for interaction? It's not a book signing or something.

I always assumed the interaction was them playing music for you, and you dancing/reacting.

Why do you have to see the DJ?

I don't understand why people find the visual spectacle of the DJ all that fascinating.

Ok, this last comment makes you a noob. You do know that the "superstar" DJ status is fairly recent in the electronic music world, right ?

No, the real interaction is the part afterward when you ask for an autograph!

At least that seems to be the part that excites a lot of people the most. I get the feeling that some people go to clubs as much for the cult of celebrity as for anything else...
