Maybe actually, we have one, and my brother tells me that you can download mp3's on it, he says it has its own modem (cable infact) or can be linked to the net in some way, so if it can download them, it will be able to play one.

^^ That might be all bollox above, so try finding out, dont buy one on my account

he's half right. there is a network card built into the x-box so that in the future when microsoft finally gets its shit together you can play online and download sontent on to the hard drive. but there is no internal modem in the thing.

sodascope: no, it cannot play mp3 cd's unfortunatly. i dont know of one console that can. onle piece of entertainment equipment that can are dvd players whit the function built in.

hope that helps.

xbox's don't read CDRs ne way, they only read CDRWs cos CDRs are always pirated and they're trying to block them. CDRWs also work.

I just tried playing mp3's on my Xbox and it doesn't work. Xbox does have a modem/network card and it's only got highspeed/DSL connections. I've been playing Halo on the net for awhile now and it's amazing!

No the XBox can't play burned CDs only legal ones

I tried to load "Urban Train" from one of my friend's CDs when playing Tony Hawk but it wouldn't read it. So we wound up ripping some tracks from an old ass "ESPN Jock Jams" CD LoL.

What program? And can you explain it a bit more? If you want, PM me...or post it here. I'm really curious to know how to do that, on my DC.
