Just started watching it.

When I saw the scene with arm breaking, I thought to myself, "damn".
Then the fire extinguisher cranial bashing kicked in and wow, that's some intense shit right there.
I've seen the rape scene yesterday (which made me want to see the rest of the movie), also very gruesome.

Discuss.

well, I'm about to watch The Darjeeling Limited :]

Best soundtrack EVAR!!

..but I am ashamed to say I have completely forgotten if I've seen it or not.

Amazing movie.

done a la Memento, i thought it was one of the most gruesome films i ever sat through, that is until i watched Ichi the Killer.

that movie ruined me, i feel as if i lost part of my humanity watching that movie, but i could not turn away.

getting back to Irreversible,
i thought it was a decent flick, definitely not for everyone.
quite hard to swallow. but i think it accomplished something other than what it intended to do, that which is to show how despicable rape is. It is all building up to that scene, you see. yes the intro scene in of itself was quite...out there, but that is just a taste of what is to come.

sadly most people just want to watch that scene for obvious reasons...
don't get me wrong, Monica Belluci is one beautiful girl, if anything she is my ideal woman. but not like that M8s. i felt sad for what they did to her, i cried a bit. How could you not want to help her, save her.

Probably the most disturbing piece of videoI ever saw. Blood and gore dont creep me out as much as that single scene did. I felt dirty all over just for watching it.

Yeah, but I don't blame him...
He was probably too scared to do anything, likely thinking he doesn't want to mess with potentially dangerous people.
If I was in his shoes, I would sneak behind that rapist's back and stomp his skull into the ground.

Yeah, I was thinking the same thing. It was pretty obvious that it wasn't just two people having consensual sex in public so I would have snuck up on him and ghetto stomped that fuck.

i honestly didnt think the rape scene was that bad/creepy at all. Maybe because so many people hyped it up so much that it raised my expectations. It just kinda dragged on and on and on....
