like anyone cares about your overblown and over-exagerated opinions... on every trance release that tends to generic trance

the serious truth about 6am is it has the cheesiest strings Ive ever heard to make up a decent melody and its not even a success.

the serious truth about last summer is it has a decent breakdown but when the dead horse-beaten anthemic hands in the air BS comes in it makes me wanna put my hands where my crotch is instead and find even more euphoria there.

the only thing I like about this is the cover art. it gives me that peaceful scenary in my stinky mind thats for sure

You just dont like trance do you?

The mere fact you choose to associate Carl and I speaks volumes about your character.

You don't see me bashing your view of the song, we are all entitled to our own opinion, so don't try and belittle mine.

this is not trance, its dance.

Its trance-dance, since trance is a form of dance (but dance is not a form of dance. If A then B, A=B but not B=A ) get it!?

2 Unlimited, Scatman, Sash! was once considered Dance. But yeah dance trance if you want.

Oh you mean "Euro-Dance". Now i get it.

Well, back in the 90s, an alternative genre-name for "epic/anthem/euphoric/uplifting trance" (the track reviewed in the current thread), was "euro-trance" so i guess its somehow related. Its just that the "euro-trance" name came in abundance (and so is "epic", "anthem" and "euphoric" lately, although the threadstarter used "euphoric" to describe this track so i guess they use it from time to time)and now they usually say "uplifting-trance" to describe this kind of music with the big-lead-line, the break-down in the middle etc. It is still a sub-genre of "trance-music" though, since this kind of sound directly evolved from trance by exaggerating some elements and decreasing others, plus the general consensus states this is "trance", and what is a genre-name without the people? Genres are not real things, its what the majority agrees to call them. Plus, this kind of sound was tagged as a kind of "trance" back from 1997, so there is also a strong historic component there.

As for the current track, i'll have to agree and say its very generic and the melody of the lead-line doesn't sound that great to me. Maybe its the cliche saw sounds. If there was another synth instead of that usual massive saw sound, maybe the current melody sounded more interesting, i don't know.

I think its time for change.

Surely nobody can be interested in this track? Generic is definitely the right word for it.
Carl's done far better work than this.
