What is trance to you?

I thought I'd try and spice up this forum a bit. Since it is a trance forum, the obvious thing would be to talk about trance! There has always been genre "conflicts", and people always like different kinds of music, which is also what makes it great. So, post youtube links or samples whatever, of what trance should sound like in your ears.

Don't post any tracks without a sample/youtube link or whatever. Let's get some variety and some inspiration in this forum.

Resistance D - Throm 03

Virus - Sun (Jam El Mar Remix)

Legend B - Lost In Love

The Overlords - Sundown (Sunfactor 909 - Comamix)

Shakta - Lepton Head (Deedrah Remix)

it's actually amazing how similar pvd still is to that

(except for when he brings in pop vocals and trendy sounds)

Berdock - Heaven Scent

encapsulates trance for me.

Ah, see, I knew I liked trance! These past six years have been trying to fool me.

My entries:

Tilt - I Dream (Tilt's Ressurection Mix)

System 7 - Alphawave
(Plastikman Remix is even better, but no YouTube clip)

L.S.G. - The Train of Thought
(Doesn't get going until 2min in)

Jon Vesta - The Gull
(Sorry, got to get at least one anthem in here)

Really too many to name, and too many without YouTube clips.

I'm relistening to Age of Love, and seriously, not much can touch Watch Out For Stella.

Archetype.

No offense to those who like it, but I've never understood the following for Firedance. One of my least favorite Hildenbeutel productions, and not terribly exceptional in the Eye Q catalog.

Agreed, the original is bliss. I still haven't nabbed a vinyl copy.

No one's saying it's an outstanding song. Firedance is just perfectly representative of the Trance genre.

Made in 1997, before the big trance explosion, way ahead of it's time, simple, and just plain beautiful
