cdj 800 mk1 jog wheel
i have managed to get myself a 4 hour set in a club here in thailand spinning trance (they sed play ur own style)
and i am aware they have cdj 800 mk1. i have the mk2s and i remember the jog wheel on the mk1 felt really loose. is there much difference in the feel of them?
...you answered your own question
Yep. Just be a bit more carefull with the MK1's than you would be with you mk2's and you should be fine
Can't you use your own 800's? 4 hours is a long time..
ye thats a good point...maybe i will take mine along in my flight case and swap them over...dont wanna do a 4 hour set if i cant ge tthe hang of them! cheers lads.
You'll be completely used to them after the first half hour - just be careful until then.
I played a gig a couple of weeks ago where loads of people were jumping up and down on the stage I was on so the decks were rocking backwards and forwards by about 6"... that took some getting used to! But I was fine after 2 or 3 mixes, so I'm sure you will be on a slightly looser jog wheel
cheers! that has put my mind at rest a bit more. now i can start looking forward to it
debut gig in Bangkok..actually Asia!
If you know how to beatmatch, it should not present much difficulty after the first few mixes. As stated, you just need to be a bit more gentle, but it is nothing major. They're solid CD players
what's the name of the club in bangkok? where about is it?
