mixing drum n bass

sorta unrelated, but i was wondering how the heck you mix drum n bass? there is no certain kick patter, and basslines can be really fuked up.

use the snares on the 2nd and 4th beats.

almost every drum and bass track has em.

Well Drum n Bass is a very toufh music to mix.
its a breakbeat and like you said there is no pattern so i think you shgould follow the basses...

when mixing anything with a 3/4 beat (DnB, Jungle, Breaks...) you should try to mix the highs... there usually is a high-hat or something similar

trying to mix the basslines is just a pain in the ass

my bro has been spinning D&B for close to 5 years. Ya you mix the snare not the bass line. Its not hard, ive tried it on many occasions

mixing jungle/d'n'b is easier than mixing trance imho

you just match up the snares on the 2nd/4th beat

and you can get away with shorter mixes w/o them sounding like shit
you also don't have to worry about your records not being cued on the 32nd beat in jungle/d'n'b...granted its better if you do obviously...but it doesn't sound as horrid if you don't because there aren't crash symbols or anything at the end of the 32 beat bars
