Massive bass distortion!
So I recorded video from Freedom @ The Guvernment with my new HD camcorder. The video turned out great, but the mic must be sensitive and, even though I used the setting for loud concerts, the bass part of the audio has massively distorted.
Is there any specialty software that will aid to correct this? Maybe in the end it can't be done, but I want to at least try in order to save all the footage. I currently use Sony Vegas 8.0b as my video editor.
Is there a setting on the camcorder to allow you to not record frequencies below a certain point? That is the only way to combat this. It all has to do with the frequency sensitivity. If it is recording ALL audio frequencies you will run into this. You need to play around with it to find out how much of the low frequencies you need to cut out, but that is your problem.
LoL I thought it said "massive erection."

| Originally posted by Prometheus Xex I doubt if it has a frequency range setting. It's only setting is for concerts, which a club is much louder than that. Perhaps the built-in mic is not adequate for it and I may need an external... but good luck getting in a club with one mounted on top. It may appear too professional. |
isnt there a manual setting on your cam?
