-- Wow.
Wow.
so i have always known that on my mothers side who is from calabria she has a few cousins with the last name of capone who have always lived in chicago . I was like HA! thats quite the coincidence, imagine if...
and i sorta always chuckled it off.
Then today I found out on my mothers side she had another uncle with the last name of Nesci who also livedin chicago. Now i started wondering whoa thats a HUGE coincidence.
I have an uncle in Italy who is probably about 97 and hes the village priest. Well respected throughout southern italy and is always on those horrible Italian talk shows and hes always talking bad about the maffia.
Anyways I found out today that he won't even say a peep about that side of the family. Even when asked he changes conversation.
Now i know back home i have a few cousin's that work for the mob as accountants and lawyers because basically there is no work. But this is a whole different level. I am totally intrigued and need to find out more.
By nature all men are equal in liberty, but not in other endowments.
I just realized half of you probably have no clue whta im yammering on about
but do we care... that is the real question.

I guess you're suggesting some relationship to Al Capone, but I'm not aware of the name "Nesci" being connected to the mob...
well I was looking up Nesci on the internet and but you can't find much due to the overwhelming volume of things you get for al capone. However Nesci was a cousin to al capone and was the one who suggested one of the tax scams capone pulled off. I have an al capone documentary with a brief reference to him.
also its hard ot ge info on this because a) my mother is very defensive about it b) nobody else on her side of the fam will talk about it c) my family in italy doesn't speak english and d) my dad likes to piss my mom off with it, so some of what he says can be bs
I do have one name though. I have my grandfather's step brother's name. His name was peter capone and moved to chicago in the 20's
anyways this is a dumb thread.
I'm going to continue my research but right now im highly doubtful. cool coincidences tho
