STOP ESSO and help save the earth
Greenpeace has launched a campaign against ESSO.
They are the biggest polluters in the world, and they lobbied the American Government to pull out of the Kyoto Protocol. They did this to keep their profits high. The result, is increased global warming on our planet. They put their pocketbooks, over your future.
Esso contributed 5 times as much to the republican party than Enron.
They make the worlds dirtiest gas, 30 times dirtier than allowed by law in california.

| Originally posted by JohnSmith well, a valid point, that greenpeace is biased. but, CNN is biased, the commercials you watch on TV are biased, in fact everyone is biased to their point of view. the best way to find out the truth is to get your information from a VARIETY of sources, and form your own conclusions. and since ESSO spends billions of dollars advertising their point, greenpeace has to be there to provide the counterpoint. greenpeace doesn't have the financial clout of ESSO, so they rely on grassroots activists to spread the word. I'm not saying greenpeace is the best organization in the world, nor do they have all the answers. but, if you think the mainstream media is.. well I hope the wool is keeping your eyes nice and warm |

I like that you guys have presented both sides of the story here, it's all good. I think your right to attack esso/exxon and their destruction of nature, i think it's also important to take note of George Warmonger Bush's point of view on this, ie that he is just standing as a frontman for esso. Maybe next time TA's go to fill up their car they should think about choosing BP or Shell and also if you're in the states vote at the next election for someone who doesn't support the un-democratic interference an military intervention in soverign nations.... Ok, rant mode off, i was annoyed a little by the amature dj night tonight being canceled... :-)

*sigh*
I really like you juricimo, i hope this doesn't sour our relationship together.
i told you not to make me prove it.
BUT, your president, George Bush, arguably the most powerful man on the planet, is an idiot.
He has people write his speeches for him, but really, he's not even bright enough to read them properly. he has phonetic pronunciations on there.
he pulled out of the kyoto protocol, so he could appease his rich oil buddies down in texas. selling out your future, increasing global warming
he bombed the shit out of a defensless country trying to get one man, who he is pretty sure committed the horrible attacks of septemeber 11th. now, thousands of innocent afghanis, including women and children are dead, and osama is nowhere to be found.
his troops even bombed 4 canadian soldiers to death.
now, i know that's not his fault directly, but.. i digress.
he did NOT even win the election, he is an illegitmate president.
He is as corrupt as they come, financed by tobbaco, oil, and pharmaceutical companies. He is merely a puppet for their global corporate power.
now, those are all the serious reasons.
if you want some funny ones, check out this site:

now, please don't think i hate all americans, i don't. but i think your president needs to get his army the hell out of afghanistan.
that is all.

yes, i know about the NWO and not the wrestling group.
i think they are also know as the illuminati.
once you go into that stuff, you start bordering on flakiness, and people start to discount you, and lump you into the group with the cult of the starseed people.
but seriously.. the end of the world is coming, if you read the bible, it's all coming true.
there is nothing you can do but be ready to face your maker.
*puts back on the headphones*

thanks for the response juricimo..
i gotta hand it to you, having phonetical pronounciations on his speeches is pretty smart if you think about it..
cmon george say it with me new-klee-ur weh-puns!
anyway, as for afghanistan.. i have been having these arguments, at a much more indepth level than this, for months now. i am tired of it, and it's all been said already. but still i must insist, the ends to not justify the means here. thousands of people are dead. not a few, not a couple isolated mistakes, but entire peaceful cities, and villages pulverised by the worlds most powerful army. it makes me sick. they bombed a hospital, a mosque, a school, the offices of the red cross, power stations, water depots, etc.
the actions of the USA in reaction to september 11th, are, in my mind, no less wrong than the actions of the terrorists themselves.
that is just my opinion mind you.
now.. as for kyoto... well..
we are not in a warming trend unfortunately, although bush and his cronies would love you to think that. this is unprecedented in the history of the world. this planet is getting hotter, at an exponential rate. this has not happened before.
don't take my word for it, go look up david suzuki if you want some cold hard scientific facts that will scare the shit out of you.
as for the election? well.. it don't really matter. they are one and the same anyway.
peace m8.
yea, i do think something needs to be done about the pollution issues...
the US needs to really start changing it's enviromental policies.

| Originally posted by Juricimo this one is gonna be hard. afganistan has been found to harbor terrorists. terrorists = bad. this is not a war against Afganistan, but a war against terrorism. Osama was not the only terrorist, but there are numerous terrorsts cells all over the world. Osama to my understanding is one of the terrorist leaders, with many others situated in the area of Afganistan. hence, the war to rid of the terrorists. yes, innocent ppl will die, that comes along with any war,....innocent ppl dying is not right. Effort to rid Afganistan, sourrounding areas and any other areas of the world of terrorists and their terrorist acts with hopefully end up in a result that will provide the Afgan people more quality and a better, secure life, as well as the same to everyone else on Earth. >JM< |
