Madagascar question..
Hi to anyone who may be able to help, I copied a version of Art of Trance "Madagascar" off a friend (who thinks they got it with a compilation from Acqusition, but maybe not...) and it is not any mix I've ever heard before, tho it calls itself the Cygnus X mix. It's not that one though, as I've got that one on the AoT 2002 Madagascar remixes CD and it's nothing like it. It is however the best mix of Madagascar I ever heard! It's on an album under the label Platipus, with Blue Owl, Lollipop Man and a few other platipus favourites. Anyone got any ideas? I can email someone some of the version if they think they can identify it. I'd like to buy it on CD to get the full effect but don;t know how to track it down..Thanks, Johnny.

Art of Trance-Easter Island had a misprint where they mixed up the Cygnus X remix with the original, so just do a little bit of research on Beatport.

Thanks for that, will check out Beatport, someone told me there's over a dozen mixes out there somewhere so plenty of searching to do!

Well, for anyone who may be interested, I've solved one mystery and created another.
The version of Madagascar on my friend's downloaded trance album (which she can't remember much about acquiring) which said it was the Cygnus X remix is by Cygnus X, but isn't Madagascar. It's The Orange Theme, specifically the Bervoets & De Goeij Remix. Recognised it straight away after listening to Crasher Wet again and hearing the moonman remix then trawling web for other versions.
How come the tunes are so similar? Mad must have beem written by Simon Berry, with its own legacy of remixes (including cygnus), and then Orange wa written by the 2 dudes from Cygnus, but they sound the same. I'll have to go back and double check, maybe i'm getting it wrong...
I dont remember those versions of Madagascar & Orange theme youve menntioned sounding the same...

Michael Woods remix is the best in my opinion. Then the original or Ferry's
