[Prog House-ish] 'Essence' ft. Aliciya Phillips (192kbps)
I'm finally putting the finishing touches on a song idea that I started almost two years ago! This song has gone through more renditions than I care to count, but I finally got it where I wanted it musically, Aliciya put lyrics and vocals to the melody and we were able to finish it up. The song was completed in Sonar 7 and features several sounds from my new Dave Smith Prophet '08 (awesome synth, btw!).

'Essence' is the first song in the mp3 player and will play automatically.
Listening.
I love that basslibe, i like the vocals, the melody is very nice.
Cant say much about the production quality as its from myspace, but u got a potential killer track here.
If you want a remix of this, i`d be all over this one.
Cheers.

the track sounds very good. i don't have a lot of critiques but if i was to say something:
1. the hard panning on the drums is a bit extremem
2. the chorus on the bassline is cool but i feel like the vocal hits at like 3k? and the bassline prob getting rolled off around 800? seems like you could open it up more on the filter
3. the pad is boring under the vocal, something with a cooler filter emulation/automation on it would sound better and as she hits the longer notes open the filter up. i have an example from my new tune(and i only say this cause i could totally picture something like it under her voice)

Generally is realy good. Backround is climatic and a little sad but I like it. Big APPLAUSE for vocalist. Aliciya Philips's voice is so cute. Love it
Thanks for listening and providing suggestions guys!
