just got me a new cd deck!!
I just picked this up last night!
man its pretty cool.. but i find it difficult.. mixing cd's is different from mixing vinyl. i still have to play around w/ it but i feel you have less control w/ the cd then u do w/ the vinyl.. for one thing you can't really back it up, u can only slow it down and if you go past your cue point, you gotta hit rewind a little, which isn't too bad but i wish the jog-dial pretty much served as like moving the vinyl instead of controlling pitch.. but its a pretty nice deck, u can do a lot w/ it..
..doesn't beat vinyl though

How much did you pay for it?
And how does it sound?
Does it feel high quality or does it feel cheap?
i saw this in a store for 600 but im sure u can probably find it for less.. i've seen it also for 550 but www.pssl.com has it for 599.. anyways, i won it off ebay for pretty cheap.. the guy i got it from is a dj for some radio station and he is sponsered by stanton so they gave him two of them.. he only needed one so he sold the other.. anyways i got it for $380 USD.. and he only lived about an hour away so i went to go pick it up.. normally i wouldn't be spending that money because i really only wanted a single cd deck, but since that was a pretty good deal i decided to go for it..
..quality wise, its a good product, high quality.. stanton doesn't make cheap shit.. its not their bottom end cd deck and i figure if it retails for $600, it can't be that bad.. i didn't really have time to research it before i bought it ..
..sound quality is great, because its all digital the sound is better than the sound coming from vinyl IMO.. but also cos i'm playing out of stereo speakers at the moment so mixing a cd to vinyl is like mixing digital to anologue.. but maybe cos the speakers are shitty that im using, if i had them cranked up some more u probably couldn't tell the difference..
..if your looking for a dual cd deck, i'd recommend this because the two parts are seperate.. eventually i plan to get the Pioneer djm-3000 and im gonna put it rack mounted along w/ the controller part of cd deck.. however, i've never used any other cd-decks so i can't compare.
I just recently got myself a Pioneer CMX-3000. It is a very cool unit. I can't believe for as long as I've been spinning, why it's taken me this long to finally breakdown and get a dual CD player.....it's beyond me.
