OK by now most of you should know that I have a total man-crush on Eddie Halliwell. He's a living legend. Anyway, here's a SICK video of him. Go 1 minute in and tell me he's not a FUCKING MANIAC We need more Eddie in NY.

Hes done the stage dive and crowd surf a couple of times when I have worked with him... amongst other loony things.

Alyssa, I'm still in a depression about that not happening. However, his absense is making my heart grow MUCH fonder. I'm gonna be like a little school girl when he comes back. Although, that wasn't too different then the way I was back in November

well you have to be some kind of special to get that huge of a dj especially if you don't produce a lick of music.

That's a pure Myth, Dj's don't make good producers..Dj/Producers tend to make half decent filler tracks to fit into their own sets...Dj's are great remixers, but when it comes to building a track from the stems up, they're usually shit.

i never said anything about djs being great producers. i'm not talking quality of the music just the existence of a production. how many other big djs don't produce anything? right now if you aspire to be a big name dj you have to have your name on something whether it be your own track, a collaboration or a remix. eddie's got his own show and is a fairly famous dj and he produces nothing which is unusual so he must be some kind of special.

i like how he just plays the record in the vid and doesn't pretend to turn all kinds of knobs in the middle of the song as if he is producing it live

I can go on and on and on and on about how I feel about Eddie. In my opinion he's BY FAR better than ANY other DJ. Yes, that includes PvD, Ferry, Tiesto, A&B, Armin, etc. To ME, no one plays with nearly as much energy as he does. That's just my opinion. He's a true master at his craft.
