who prints the best pictures?

after being a bit disappointed with walmarts photos (came out somewhat soft and big time underexposed) i'm wondering what is the best service for uploading your photos online.

I had mine developed at shoppers.

They turned out great and it was off my RAZR, which certainly isn't a high calibre camera by any means.

Try them.

getting pics developed really depends on the technician that happens to be working at the time your photos are being done. sometimes it is someone with lots of experience and other times it could be a complete noob. its a gamble so take your chances.

back in my photography days and days of FILM (omg what is that ) i use to always request the same technician... it really does make a huge difference.

well that sux since i don't know of a particular technician who was better than another. I guess this is my ignorance, but i assumed their computers do all the work in the developing process now.

Costco looks pretty good, and if you want them blown up, nobody matches their prices.

Just looked at my friends shots from the Grand Canyon, which he had blown up and plaqued at Costco, they looked beautiful.

thanks for the tips, i guess i'll definitely try costco next time around. good pricing too, .17 for 4x6.

Agreed.

I use to be a photolab technician, companies normally have the experienced people working the 8-5 shift. It makes a massive difference on how your pictures look colour/exposure wise on who developes them. Most photo places have similar technology for printing, its all about when we bring them in I guess.

I've been using Loblaw's Photolab and have been very satisfied considering their prices... they're only .19/ print!!!

I used Black's. It was pricey-ish but the pictures came out fantastic!
