Moby in Seattle
Hi -
Please forgive this absolutely blatant spam. I haven't been here or contributed anything in ages, but I felt like there might be some folks here who might want to catch this show.
Moby is playing a DJ Set at Neumo's in Seattle on Sunday, June 8th. The show is 21+ only. It is being presented by USC events and Seattle's True Independent Film Festival (STIFF). The show is actually sold out, but there are still a few (less than 90) all-access film festival badges available which will also get you into this show and all of the others.
If you were thinking that you might want to see some good independent film, music, comedy, and a Moby show from June 6th-15th, it is 10 days of great value for only $50.
You can see the rest of the lineup (films, music and comedians) here
You can purchase an all-access badge here:
Thanks,
Clint Berquist
Director, STIFF
I know return you to your regularly scheduled discussion...
You know, I'm always down to support and whore Seattle events, and I'm absolutely gutted that I didn't buy a ticket to this show before it sold-out. That said, this is still spam and shouldn't have been posted here when you clearly admit that you're in the wrong. We have a local section on TA for this, and it would fit much better there.
(Admittedly, I'm considering this badge after reading the DEMF thread...)
STIFF huh?
Interesting way to set up an acronym.

Go assholes!
Moby show moving to Showbox Market.
The city has recently been cracking down on nightclubs around the Seattle and the fire marshal has brought the capacity of Neumos down from 700 to a little over 500. http://www.thestranger.com/seattle/Content?oid=586888 Since the venue sold over 500 tickets in pre-sale (in under 2 hours), this basically meant that we wouldnt have been able to get any of our badgeholders into the event. So, the Moby show has been moved to The Showbox at the Market. Aside from the fact that all of our programs and posters have been printed with Nuemos as the location, this should be good for everyone all around. Chad from USC Events told me at last nights wildly successful Tiesto show, that the extra capacity at the Showbox would mean that all of our badgeholders would be allowed admission and they would even have a special VIP area for STIFF badgeholders. It would also mean that they would be able to open up additional ticket sales to people who missed out on the presale.
So, there it is.. Moby has been moved to the Showbox Market on Sunday, June 8th.. Doors Open at 8PM. 21 and over only. $20 adv or door. There are still a few All-Access badges to STIFF 2008 available for $50 that will get you into all STIFF films, comedy and music (Including Moby!). You can buy badges here! http://www.brownpapertickets.com/event/35969 I hope to see you all at STIFF!

VIP is only worth it if it has an open bar and is at a massive event. Otherwise, drinks are usually relatively the same as a normal night, and you drink the same amount. I guess it really depends on if you have hookups or not too. Rarely ever paying full price in your own town makes it quite a lot cheaper.
Hrm, now that presales are available again, my only complaint is going to be working at 5 the next morning. Hrm...
