MIKEY I LOVE THIS PIC! <3

I wasn't planning on going out at all, but I guess everyone already decided for me instead, so I came out ;-)Had to stop at the mall to buy a new outfit, since going home would be completely out of the way. Had amazing time doing head stands at Sagar's roof top and taking a stroll with Tara <3

I have never heard Jim Rivers play before, and I have to say that he was pretty good. I left early around 2, but he was just getting into to it, and I had my fix of dancing for a minute ;-) The junkies set was prety good too, especially the end.

So, got home, raided the fridge for a while and went to sleep. Still not comprehending very well what's happening at work, but the coffee is starting to help.

Tara, Mikey, Sagar, Jeff, Barb - we definetely brought some energy on the dance floor...And, omfg, did you see that sketchy clown behind me? I had nightmares all night.

Jason, where was your camera???? I still <3 you though :-)

sagar, this thread is making me confused

Head is pounding, eyes wont stay open, kinda dizzy, BUT IT WAS SOOOOOO WORTH IT!! We all agreed last night that no one would ever believe us when we say how amazing Jim Rivers set was....
We were all slightly apprehensive and full of speculation before the night had begun. Like everyone else we had only heard his transitions sets and some of his own tracks. We really had no idea what to expect in a club environment.
His set was banging right from the get go. I knew that his set was going to go somewhere unexpected but this was just WOW! So many mind blowing tracks that Ill leave for the boys to ID. It was hard, banging, fast, sometimes kinda dark. So many incredible build ups, I think there were points where we are all about to explode. I danced way too hard/too much for a Thursday.... definitely paying for it today. Mikey was humping the DJ booth.

We stayed till the very end, I think he played until just after 3. We all got a chance to briefly speak with him/hug him/take a picture with him after his set. He extremely humble and appreciative of our praises. He told me that he was working on getting some more sets recorded (which is AWESOME!). He is such a cutie. I got home at 3:40 and my ears were RINGING LOUD. Sleeping was impossible. Woke up less than 4 hours later.

As Sasha mentioned the Junkies were pretty good too, they really impressed me near the end.

I havent been to Hotel since it was renovated, its looks very chic, the decor was beautiful. The people were a mix. Some really cool chilled out people, some overly pretentious ones, and some odd balls. We arrived at 11 and it was DEAD but it filled up nicely, but never got packed, it was perfect.

Barb and Jay, super good seeing you guys again! I got to meet Joe which was a real treat
Geoff Im really glad you had a great time and THANKS SOOOO MUCH FOR BRING ME THOSE CDS. What a treat. listening right now and its the only thing making this day seem possible.

And Mikey, Sasha, Sagar... You guys rock <3 tooo many funny moments around the drinking table (i love that table) and the rooftop (I really love that roof). Cant wait to see the pics. SHLAUP THE HUUNDA hahahahaha

Overall Im REALLY glad we decided to jump into the River, none of us wanted to get back out. 3am came too fast.

PS. I woke up this morning and was like "Pete Tong" BAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

If I went blindfolded to hotel last night, I would've said that John Digweed was absolutely phenomenal. Some may argue about the comparison, but for the two hours that I swam in the river...I was gasping throughout. Last night, Jim Rivers brought down the dark but heavenly constellations to earth and we were dancing to a glowing star in the making.

good to meet you Jason..I think Vince played the "Man with the Red Face" tune for you (fantastic set by the junkies by the way. I'm a sucker for the warm-up tunes...last hour just set the pace real well)

highlights of the night have to be:
a. Sasha's headstand (I'm sure the pic must be on its way soon)
b. Tara's analogy of Pete Tong's voice = foreplay before the real deal .

that freaky clown face was a very disturbing sight. it wouldn't even be funny if it was halloween.

and sawgr..I can feel the confusion starting soon..haha.

FUCK, Where to start

got in with the Sagar, Sasha, and Tara around 11ish. As mentioned it was kinda slow but picked up later and never really got packed. There was good room to dance, with the occasional bump here and there.

Ran into Jason early on, nice seeing you...oh wait we didn't see you, no one did, you're always hiding under that hat of yours :P

Joe Manzone, what can i say, this guy is a gentleman ! thanks for the drinks.

now as for Jim Rivers' set...i really don't know were to start, he was quick getting into the groove, played stuff that could really get you moving. a few tracks really stood out to me, i have no idea which ones though.

but there was one, that was the highlight of the night for me...it was like the whole track was a buildup, what a fucking tease, it just took my mind out to lunch, and got my body moving and dancing so hard.

Jim kept teasing us, on and on, with some of these awesome buildups...i even shouted "quit with the teasing already !!" at him, he laughed and threw down a massive track seconds later.

what a monster of a set, just an absolute thrasher was thrown down today.
