So I just bought Sennheisers (AKA Da Headphones Thread)

Yep, I bought Sennheiser HD-280 Pros off of Amazon.com for 80 bucks, and at first I was all scared and everything because I ripped off my mom. Then I was just like "think of the positive, you just bought yourself headphones with working cords =D!!!" and I became really happy. Supposedly, they're really good for trance music, but the most exciting part is that the cord works and I'm going to be really excited about that when they come.

Post what headphones you have here and a description of them. I'll go first:

Yep, got me a set of these too. Most excellent sound. Added bass-boost on my discman makes those low frequencies rumble with resonance on par with damned-near any club system.

I use them for my portables tho'. For home, I got me a set of Senn 580, highly regarded to be the industry standard for such cans for years. They were so good that Sennheiser had trouble selling newer models like the 600s and higher, as very few could compare. The company has since discontinued the 580s, so I was lucky to snag me some just before.

MDR-V300
+Long cord. Beautiful sound.
-Where exactly do you stash 12 feet of cord? The cord is so long, it creates a 4 second lag between the electrical impulse of your source and your ears.

MDR-V6
Great and durable. It resists water and soda great, and does not break if you sit on it, step on it, or throw a Dual Shock controller at it.

MDR-EX71
Great, but don't really like the "around the neck" design. Looks "hot mom rides the treadmill at 24 hour fitness" gay. The material is also rather flimsy and prone to tear just by looking at it wrong.

Shure E2C
Crystal clear sound. The cord winds around the ear in an awkward position, which seems to put stress on the cord. My first pair ultimately tore open the cord on the left wire. Got another pair and haven't had a problem since. Also, the buds are made of bullet-proof gel, and if yours ears are made of anything other than feathers and jello, it may be uncomfortable after prolonged wear.

Sennheiser RS-130 Wireless Headphones

I use these for the computer. I love wandering around the house with these blasting @ full volume ignoring everyone. I used to wear these a lot when I'd play videogames in my room (computer is in a separate room), but now with the 360 I can listen to TA mixes and other wonderful things thru the 360 while playing games.

Sony V700 for me. Yes I've used them for 3 years now and no cracking/breaking going on. Great sound.

Agreed. Used to own a pair of the 700s, but after about three years of heavy use, they finally cracked. My brother gave me the 7506s as a birthday gift last month and I've been in love ever since. Such a solid set of cans.
