Stanton RM-3: Any good?

I think this the mixer I am gonna buy, but Id like some opinions on it first. Anyone got any?

Its an ok mixer, sound quality is average, its very much alike the Vestax PCV-275.
But it lacks the stamina of the PCV-275, but all and all its an average mixer.

I think the RM-3 is a good mixer to start out with.

I got this mixer last night for $200. It's my first mixer. I hope I can get good on this thing.

Only average sound quality? Im kind of a nut for awesome sound, is there anything that stays within the $300 range thats better?

Ive also heard that the cross fader is quite poor and can lead to sound bleeds.

The Rm3S is a good beginner box. expect it not to last that long, but for a beginner it will allow you to learn.

I've got one, started out with it... but now i'm ready for an upgrade.

compared to most $200 mixers, it's not that bad. the layout is good.

the fader does suck. it has a decent curve but it doesnt feel that good, and will require frequent replacement.

get a PCV275 if you can afford it, or maybe a DJM300.

I have a Stanton Rm-3. It's an excellent mixer. Been running smoothly without a hitch for nearly a year now

I had that mixer for 3 days, after that i got a pcv 275. MAJOR difference, i didn't like rm3s at all.

I have an RM3 and cant stand it. Channel 2 has a static sound to it and it doesnt have a good sound quality. Thankfully I am only a hundred dollars away from a DJM-600

shop around on the net or check ebay, you can probably find one for what you already have

man.. i just got an allen&heath xone:32 and after playing with this box for a day, i cant even think of using the stanton again, it's just ROUGH. i cant stand how on the RM3S, the EQ's absolutly trash the sound at the very bottom... very unsmooth

I have one, too...

I think it's a good mixer for its price... If u have more money, buy a Vestax mixer...
