What are you doing to make Toronto a better place?

The recent threads posted on here got me thinking as to what people visiting these boards do to make Toronto a better place to live in. With many changes happening in the city, there are things that people agree and disagree with.

As an example, some people feel strongly about transit. Do you go to the open houses that regard different on going projects or get more informed about the subject besides reading the couple of local newspapers?

This can be said about many issues that we face in the city and a lot of the same things can be applied to them.

However, there really isn't any criteria for this because everyone has their own idea of what it takes to make it better. But in general, are you the type of person that tries to get involved through different groups and events and advocate what you think is right or are the local media outlets and other peoples opinions enough for you to make your judgements based on the subject?
