UKTA irc channel now available through internet explorer

Yep. We now can access the irc channel through internet explorer.

So no need to download and setup software.

UKTA IRC CHANNEL

Click on the link, and a grey box will appear, wait for it too load,this may take a few seconds, then click on connect, then when the java applet loads, u put in your username and you are away.

Loads of things to mess with, like colours etc. Fairly good piece of kit.

So give it a try.

there is no legalities regarding names of chatrooms on IRC
(excluding servers which dont permit rascist or "vulgar" nameS)

Download mIRC, then in the status window, type:

/server irc.webchat.org

then after it has joined the server

All works fine, the java applet is programmed by wechat, and u can do everything u cna do on mirc on the java chat

Umm it is atm, apparently, but then i use random webserver when on mirc

But the java chat should be fine, i have never had any probs with it at school, etc

since i hav installed XP java has always been a problem. It means i cant access thru IE and it means i cant play my favourite Internet Pool game

It always comes up with the java box to download the plugin or whatever it is, but then the IE box comes up saying its not avaiable for xp. Anyway around this?
