My Calculator Just Died
My calculator, TI-30Xa, died this morning at approximately 7:30am in a furious note taking and error checking session. It's been my beloved calculator for well over 2 years now, bringing me the joys of accuracy, exploration and knowledge. While definitely not as advanced as the other calculators in the room to where it died, it stood out as the calculator which brought gloriously high marks and #1 STUNNA test scores.
When it happened, I was scared, for myself and my calculator. How would I be able to support myself for the rest of the class period? Will some social service be granted to me by the other class mates? Will I fall behind on my daily payment of sufficient quiz scores? I was scared, but that's all irrelevant now. TI-30Xa is dead, and while the physical void of it may be replaced, the emotional attachment cannot.
You helped me get the girl. You helped me do my taxes. You helped me re-do my taxes. You helped me for my future career. I am indebted to you for eternity.
RIP TI-30Xa

Sorry for your loss.
I brought Jello with fruit and marshmallows to ease your pain in this time of mourning.

RIP.
My TI-30x died too. Then the school furnished me with a ti-89. That was fun.
That was the best obituary/eulogy ever.
Get a ti-83+
Last for ever (mine is going on 4 or 5 years... for some reason i have 3) and you need them for college.
SuspicionVandit: The not-quite-new-and-somewhat-more-coherent Xeno?
I think so.
Awwww, I miss Xeno too though.

Unfortunately, I was too great at it, and the following year, my trigonometry teacher and the board of directors revoked my TI-83+ license for coding Proggies that would instantly shoot out answers. I was reduced to a conventional calculator. Later, I was taken out of the regular school schedule for disciplinary issues. Without regular supervision, I could have gone back to cheating, but I found it more challenging and FUN to do it the old fashioned way. And isn't that what relationships are all about? 2. and by the way, I have 6 TI-83+s, so my dick > your dick. |

My TI-83 is 10 years old and still going strong!
No student should have to bury his calculator. So sad.

I have been using my 83+ graphing calc for about 5 years now, best value and function for the money.
Try replacing the battery?

God damnit people the calculator is GONE! Just let him mourn in peace

Oh man, I wrote massive amounts of programs for my TI-83 for just about every subject: physics, trig/pre-calc, chemistry, you name it.
Then I lost my calculator before my pre-calc exam.
It turned out okay, though, since I knew how to do everything manually. We were required to get TI-89s for calc anyway, and it served me well. I still use it occasionally, but all the heavy lifting has been supplanted by Matlab.
RIP calculator. TI's aren't supposed to break.
