Are ReFX a good company?
This thread would suggest otherwise
http://www.ableton.com/forum/viewto...der=asc&start=0
this is not the only time ReFX have been ****s. Do a search for Arksun on KVR.
Jesus.. Well, there goes my plans on buying the gladiator synth.
No f****ng way will I ever support someone like that.
They won't be getting any of my money, they s*ck. Nexus s*cks. (vanguard rules btw
)
Fuck them, there are far better plugins around anyway. To me they have made no exceptional plugins

I thought that tone2 was just another brand name made by the refx people. If that's not the case, then:

Tone two is not another brand name of refx. The Vanguard synth was developed by Michel Kleps who is the owner of REFX however the filters & Oscillators were developed by Markus Fell the owner of Tone 2.
Refx have quite a reputation for crap customer service but I can assure from personal experience that Tone 2's customer service is nothing short of excellent. ( It was also rumored that the two developers fell out over Michel Kleps treatment of customers but I can't confirm )
By the way Gladiator is one hell of a synth and I can highly recommend it.
whoops
vangaurd is pretty sweet although i dont use vsts
weather or not they're an evil company is neither here nor there
if you like their products, buy them...
i own vanguard, nexus(mistake), beast, and juno2
the only one i use very often is beast, but if they came out with another synth (not just more add ons for the rompler), i'd take a look at it.
david
why would anyone buy a vst in the first place?
because thousands of hours go into programming these things in many cases?
if we want the developers to continue making software, we need to pay for it...
