Just because you produce it DOES NOT make you a dj!!!

THIS REALLY PISSES ME OFF!!!! AND GETS ON MY NERVES!!!!

IM NOT PUTTING ANYONE ON BLAST OR SAYING ANY NAMES BUT THIS WEEKEND I SAW A DJ WHO REALLY SUCKED ASS AND CANT MIX WORTH SHIT AND JUST WAS TRAINWRECKING EVERY WHERE.

AND I THOUGHT TO MYSELF WHY IS THIS FUCK SPINING HERE WHEN MOST OF US WHO CAN BEAT MATCH AND ARE VERY MUCH INVOLVE IN THE CLUB SCENCE NOT PLAYING HERE!!! ITS BECAUSE THEY ARE SUCKING SOMEONE BALLS VERY GOOD!!!! STOP KISSING SO MUCH ASS AND GET YOUR ASS BACK IN YOUR BEDROOM AND PRATICE TILL YOU LEARN HOW TO BEATMATCH!!!! JUMPING ALL AROUND AND GETTING OVERLY EXCITED IS NOT MAKING YOU LOOK COOL! ITS MAKING YOU LOOK LIKE A DUMB ASS WHEN WE ALREADY KNOW YOUR ASS CANT MIX! SERIOUSLLY WORK ON YOUR SHIT THEM COME OUT AND PLAY!!!

OHHH ANOTHER THING JUST BECAUSE YOU CAN PRODUCE DOESNT MEAN YOU CAN DJ! GET IT STRAIGHT!!!! STOP KISSING SOME ASS AND DO SHIT ON YOUR OWN!!!!

DAMN!!! THIS PISSES ME OFF BUT THATS HOW IT IS JUST POLITICS!!!

OHHH AND BY THE WAY IM NOT THE ONLY ONE WHO FEELS LIKE THIS!!! THERES WAS A SHIT LOAD OF PEOPLE THAT I KNOW THAT WERE AT THIS SPOT TALKING CRAP ABOUT YOU!!!! IM JUST THE ONE TO EXPRESS MY FEELINGS BECAUSE YOU SUCK!!!!! HA HA HA

OK I FEEL GOOD NOW!!!! HAD TO LET THAT OUT!!!!

WHAT DO YOU PEOPLE THINK!!!!

maybe if you produce (and are good) you have a better reputation and can bring more people to the club. i dont think he was sucking the promoters dick.

just because you can dj doesnt mean you can produce is the bigger problem

Producers actually have more chances of becoming well known DJs versus DJs who just spin well.

Otherwise, there are countless DJs who are actually good at spining to the crowd. But alas, they will unlikely ever make it big. One of my resident DJs is actually the WMC DJ Champ of 2006. But Tiesto will still pull in more crowds.

Come to think of it, in TA, there are a number of excellent DJ's. But producers pull in the crowd.

Just my two cents worth. Rant away...

First, is your caps lock key stuck?

Second, who are you talking about and is he an active member of the west coast board?

It wouldn't at all surprise me of the overwhelming majority of producers were DJ's well before their making tracks.

It's simply due to the fact that probably the best way to accelarate your DJ career is to make a track...and have it be successful.

I don't think these guys are stepping behind the decks for the first time upon getting their tracks signed to a major label- they're just extending their existing DJ'ing into more publicized arenas.

Of course, if they couldn't spin before, there's no reason why they would be able to spin upon getting signed. If anything, I think many people will be less akin to that minor little detail of listening to a DJ who simply can't DJ.

HOW COULD YOU

YOU HAVE NO IDEA

RRRRAAAAAAAAAGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHH

DEAR GOD WHAT HAVE WE UNLEASHED

Posted by DaveT on Jun-06-2008 11:20:

A lot more DJs, well known DJs, started out mainly producing and really couldn't DJ worth a damn and learned DJing after hitting it big producing...

I rememember when FErry would wreck so much when he first started to be known as a DJ.

So spill the beans. Be a man. You put someone on blast, say who it is. Who are you scared of?

Amen.

Just look and Joel. 4 years ago no one knew who the fuck Deadmau5 was (well i did, being a music geek), anyways he started making music while cracking out late night chatting with us on the IRC and posting/emailing us his "latest creation."

So all of a sudden this kid with NO dj experience, is headlining gigs a few years later.

Everyone hates him, i look at it like jealousy. Because the kid is good at what he does, he is a smart talented kid. But like i said, he is still a kid it will take a few years for him to actually be in his prime.

Ha Ha Ha I Cant say who it is because I dont want this problem to blow up but theres a who lot of people that feel the same way! He made a ok tracked and it got support from a fairly big dj. but I swear everytime he plays each song is a train wreck and he get way to pumped up and hes like YAH!!!! LOOK WHAT I DID!!! all he do was train wrek ohhh and he tries to work the hi mids and lows life effects and makes the track sound like shit!!! It just gets me pissed off knowing that this dude sucks and hes in the scence!!

I feel that producing does gives someone a big push but comon at east know how to spin before coming out to the club scene

Posted by gerard6975 on Jun-06-2008 19:31:

^^^

well, now, now. don't blame him for trying to DJ. blame the club or promoter who booked his ass.

now, PM me who it is so he doesn't play for us until he gets his shit straight.

Posted by YoOOOOO on Jun-07-2008 19:51:
