Make me believe!

Hey TA!

I used to listen to trance when I first started partying a while back, however I kind of fell out w/ it tho around 2000-02. For me, trance seemed to become all about the big monotonous builds and a formulaic song structure. I'm still kinda into the Tech-trance side of things (does that even still exist!?) but to be honest I haven't listened to the genre in years. Friends try to get me to come out to the big jocks but at those prices...meh.

So, my question is...If you could name one "trance" dj mixset to win me back what would it be?

I WANT TO BELIEVE!

You just don't know that you're reaching for them, but you are. Trust me, you are.

I know, right. It's realer than real. It's unreal.

Certainly were the good ole' days. Still some great trance these days. Just not a frequent as in the early 2000's.

David West has a good promo mix from last year. See if you can find that.
He Spins "Year Zero" into "Make you Mine".

Posted by Fpcookie on Jun-10-2008 14:03:

if you are still into tech trance then id recommend:

mark sherry (very good radio show)
joint operations centre
jochen miller
arteni divini
lee haslam
genix
re-ward/wardt
greg downey
bryan kearney
john askew
simon patterson
paul webster
pedro delgardo
gleave
preach

some of these guys can be hit and miss but if you're gonna find good trance theres a good place to start looking

if you are looking for more of a classic trance sound, then theres not much good stuff around really. a couple of the guys above produce uplifting/melodic stuff as well which is okay. also,

onova
daniel kandi
digital nature
ian betts

are producing some ok stuff that is more in the older trance style
