This thread has been done. By you infact. Although, I do agree Prog-House is definately a quality genre. I wouldn't go as far as saying it's 'the best'. Especially since it's so over saturated by mau5-5hit at the moment. Give it a year or two for that to die off, and hopefully more quality productions will see the light of day.

EDIT:

Good quality productions are popping back up on a consistant basis already, however. Stick to the stuff coming out of Add2Basket Records, Discoteca Music & Sick Watona Records. A lot of quality Prog-House coming out of those record labels at the moment.

lol you still remember that thread? well that thread was for suggestions for prog house beginners and this thread implies the top prog house tunes primarily from the 90's, before the overrated deadmau5 junk. I cant think of a genre better than prog house in its prime (circa 1990-1999). yes, those particular labels are actually holding down current prog house

Dinka makes some pretty good progressive house imo.

Don't you think you're perhaps slightly over-rating a bunch of mid-90s Quivver dubs? I mean, they were good and all, but they all sounded largely the same and many were pretty much DJ tools. I can't imagine the Quivver Dub of Dreamtime sounding very interesting if it isn't followed by the Vocal Mix.

I would write a list of my own, but I'm sick of lists now. If I write one it'll be redundant in a few months and there's no exact science in placing tracks above others. There are just too many good prog house tracks to make a comprehensive list out of.

Instead, I'll just recommend one classic prog house track I've been really enjoying recently:

you got a case for some of those quivver songs. I think I listed some too high but my top 4 is certified. overall though every 90's quivver song are belters no matter what rank.
