One of the most controversial bookings in Bonnaroo history (at least for the hippie kids it seems).

Looks like they shut the naysayers up completely - just an awesome performance:

This was on Fuse last night and will be replayed again tonight. They also showed them playing One.

Call me a purist, but I'm kind of disappointed that Bonnaroo has become as mainstream as it is. I've never been, but remember the lineups from 2002 and 2003 and I'd imagine that the vibe of the whole event has changed drastically with the inclusion of bands like Radiohead, Pearl Jam and Metallica. It's more of a rock festival now.

Their name is Metallica - it says "Metal" right in there, therefore, Metallica is truly metal, and you have no grounds to say they aren't.
