Happends when they change something in the matrix.

For me, deja Vus is one of the most convincing arguments in favor of both determinism and the hunch I have that I'm actually a robot and not human.

So yes, basically I agree that it's a glitch in the Matrix.

Hahah, thought of the same thing... I've been watching the trilogy recently.

Deja Vu, I get it occasionally, maybe once in a blue moon. Everytime I have an episode, I can never really understand it because when I see something that triggers the Deja Vu, and more I think about it, the less clear it becomes.

Every couple of weeks. I love the feeling.

Posted by MrJiveBoJingles on Jun-17-2008 15:52:

Had it yesterday during a class.

I'd say it get it once every few weeks or so. It's a really interesting feeling, so I like it.

Once or twice a year. I usually think it's just my mind playing tricks on me (either because of a dream I had or my routine), so I don't really care much about them.

I get Deja Vu every few months, never anything huge though.

Once every couple of years, I'll have a big one.

I'll have a dream, you know the type - vivid and so real you almost doubt you were asleep - that makes no sense. It features people I don't know, places I've never been and doing tings I have no association to. However, the dream feels SO REAL...

A few years will pass and all of a sudden, Deja Vu. I'm in that room, with those people and I freeze, afraid to do anything or change anything or, the opposite - doing nothing to prevent making a mistake my dream warned me about.

This has only happened 3 or 4 times and it scares the fuck out of me. There are some pretty fucked up dreams that I would be very happy to not see come true...but they have that same feel to them.

So basically what I'm saying is it's a glitch in the matrix.

its a common occurence for me, especially when i was at school, i swear I was about 3 days ahead of everyone else. should've seen all the shit coming

Strange, I almost never have them. I only can remember a very weak one some years ago, unlike the other people in this thread.
I wonder why that is?

I don't get that. Wouldn't not having dj vus make me the robot?

I think of it along the lines of perpetual failures of an operating system - like deja vus is just a ripple in the absolutely ruined registry of my personal operating system, and when it happens it's basically my programming failing and fooling me into flawed thinking.

I don't think it makes any logical sense, but that's how it plays out in my brain (errr, hard drive?).

Deja vu is a glitch in the simulation.

I kind of figured that out when I almost impaled myself with a spoon.

Exactly. Like that episode of Star Trek TNG where the holodeck ruined everyone's weekend.

I just had this amazing idea for a movie:

So nature is pissed at us for destroying it, so plants begin producing a substance that causes people to commit suicide have dj vus. People start acting weird, and soon the phenomenon spreads, with every single person on the planet having a permanent dj vu. This causes time, which is just a concept of the human mind, to collapse, and sends all of us back in time, to a point before pollution has started. Of course mankind doesn't learn from it and makes the same mistakes again. Therefore, the whole process repeats itself over and over again, making it a genuine dj vu. Oh, and I'll somehow work a groundhog into it, too.

Edit: tantative title: Dj happening

First one I ever remember was in the Polish Delicatessen store looking at a row of strawberry jam when I was about 6 years old.

Whenever I know it's happening I always look around me and for about 5-10 seconds I can feel what will happen next.

Me loves it.
