Lasers-who owns ?

So I was amazed at the chick playing with the green lasers and cystals at Love Sat night, so I just purchased a fairly powerful green 100mW laser and some Diffraction Grating-Transmission Beam Fans,etc...should have soon, just think it will be cool to mess with.
Anyone else have this shit??....or am I a laser geek

you can actually light a cig with those lasers. I wouldnt mind having one of my own, but it does cost a pretty penny. lol

100mW is pretty powerful (it can burn/cut through plastic wrap and pop balloons, you shouldn't look directly at the beam without protective glasses. 300mW is where you really need protection. It can damage the retina almost instantly.

check out "wicked lasers", or just google "Green Lasers"
I got some cool stuff from Dragon Lasers also, good optics are key.
Price is anywhere from $200- $3,000 depending what you what and how powerfull,etc...should have early next week. If you see me with a patch on my eye you know something went wrong.

Let us know what you think Ed, We're gonna put our own lighting rig together for things like Rhode Kill etc..

ok, got last week but was away, this thing is SIKKKK, im amazed at how far you can see the beam, id say way over 20-30 miles easy, I do need to send back, as after 3-5 min it drops to 50% power, but they said they will just ship me a new one (must have a defect), great service. this is the handheld unit, but I think I want to get a fixed mount laser.
My friends where blown away at the power, Steve, id get one for sure!!
also waiting for some more optic crystals to bend the beams,etc...the beam spliter works great though, guess im a lazer geek now

for our fraternity house at Syracuse, we got like 5 Chauvet Kinta's and then this green laser set up that shoots a bunch of beams out and makes these crazy spiraling circles all around. and another really big light that moves to the bass' vibrations. and of course a smoke machine. they're all pretty fun... nothing like Stellar though.

i wanted nicer ones but I wasnt willing to fork over money to a frat. Id want to keep the shit in my apt myself.

oh, and teh first Kinta had to get sent back cause there was a problem with the bulbs or something. it kept cutting in and out... so yeah

I was just looking at some Chauvet's stuff, fairly cheap and decent stuff, might get a decent LED set up, this is for my house, so dont need club type set up which is big $$$
