PAUL ABAD [OPEN RECORDS] (QLD)
http://paul.subterran.org/
http://www.myspace.com/paul_abad

Paul Abad is a dj, producer, promoter, visual artist and community activator based in south east Queensland. He has been part of the local music scene since 1998 and is now a regular on the east coast circuit. The width of his experience sees him play everything from outdoor festivals to experimental/sound art gigs to warehouse breaks/glitch nights and everything in between!
After years of exploring a variety of electronic genres, Paul has now positioned himself as one of the leading exponents of minimal/progressive techno and hi-fi breaks in the outdoor festival scene in Australia. His obsession with futuristic Sonics and dedicated outdoor sensibilities still shine through in how he works with these genres, in track selection and overall feel, and he has a unique ability to tailor sets to a specific time and place. Tool of choice these days is laptop with Ableton live and a 32 knob controller, ensuring a seamless and creative approach to mixing. Flow, groove, space and progression are key themes in Pauls sets, but of primary importance is the mix - recombining and layering, and responding to an audience
He has played alongside acts such as Future Sound of London/Amorphous Androgynous, Tipper, Dj Krush, Monolake, Richard Devine, Adam Beyer, Jeremy P Caulfield, Phoenecia, Bernd Friedman, Antix, Perfect Stranger, Tegma, Phoney Orphants, Luna Spice, Bufo, Krumeler, Kazu Kimura, Thomas Brinkman, Aes Dana, Talpa, Haltya, Artax, Sun Control Species, Sensient,
Spoonbill, MZO etc.

MATT ROWAN [SYD] [Proton/Baroque/Babylon/Red Seven]
http://www.myspace.com/djmattrowan

Matt Rowans DJ career spans two decades of house music and continues to grow and evolve today. Having commenced his first residency back in 1998, Matt has gone on to become a regular at many a Sydney nightclub and event.
A style thats been described as Bass-driven House Music, Matts sets incorporate a strong rhythmic and techy feel whilst remaining light hearted and funky: A combination which gets any dance floor moving! This dance floor oriented approach to set structure and programming, combined with deft skills, has seen Matt hold residencies at Sounds on Sunday, Habit, Robotique and Sydneys premier progressive night SweetChilli. With dates both at home and abroad, 2006 saw Matt make his WMC debut with numerous guest appearances alongside some of the industrys finest, whilst 2008 promises to be a big year with further dates in Europe and South America.
Making his production debut in 2005, Matt soon went on to compile a solid catalogue of tnes and remixes on a vasriety of labels Only, Rapid Response, Proton, Babylon to name a few whilst his tune Keep Sake appears on Steve Porters PorterHouse compilation and with a further four tunes licensed to Porters PorterHouse 2 recording in 2007. In demand on the remix front, expect to see more releases very soon.
Alongside production buddy Jaytech, Matts release Tomorrow/Blaze was described by Nick Warren as the tune of 2005 and was championed by Warren as well as Hernan Cattaneo around the globe. Signed to Hope recordings, Tomorrow features on Dave Seamans Renaissance compilation Master Series 3. 2006 saw more original productions from the duo and remixes for V-Sag, Starecase, AFK, CPM, Narek and Danny Bullo, Medway and Sven Hauck whilst 2007 saw further productions original and co-productions on labels Rapid Response, Babylon Limited, Amenta and Red Seven.

Paul Abad looks like Tom COSM's techno playing twin
hehehe it does!
Interviews main focus now at miss libertines is to concentrate on Progressive, Tech, Trance and everything in between; locally and interstate (with the occasional international & a dash of psy toward the end of the night) but not as heavy as the previous two parties. so time to get back to the roots of what we love and kick into second gear and party like theres no fucken tomorrow!!
Sounds the goods Benny, more of what I love!
Scotty what is everyones "obsession" with ur mum?Like the pun there?!I know,Im lame.Be good to see u play Scotty, dont think Ive actually stayed still long enough at Interview to see a decent set of urs!The djs at Interview always keep me moving.Last party was wicked.Mojos set was sublime, the guy is a champ.Rossco played some absolute bombs, and he looked like he was really having fun behind the decks. He really got into interacting with the crowd.Visuals and lasers were wicked awesome.Crowd were friendly and fun.I cant say I can fault Interview parties as theyre always kick arse.Keep bringing it Benny, and the faithful shall keep coming!Cant wait to see Jules, its bin awhile.Benny the pics from last event were in Beat, woulda bin better if it had Interview and not just Miss Libs. There was a pic of u with the Interview on ur shirt just out of the shot.Damn coulda bin some good publicity!
