one of the mixed elements promoters (does saturdays at ruby skye)

sucks for my friend. he bought tickets. but i held off as usual, knowing that some list would pop up eventually.. almost always does for ruby skye. otherwise i would have been willing to pay +$5 above presales for last minute online tickets.

I'm from the santa barbara area, and I have been coming up often. First time ever to SF was august 2007 and have been back 7 more times since :-)

Does anyne what tracks they are playing during the tour. Are they from the Anjunabeat 100 CD or the new Ocanlab CD?

been checking out videos of some of their gigs in Canada last week and looks like they indeed play a lot of vocals ..MOAR CHEESE,,mmmm

I thought they tore shit up in Miami during WMC. However, if you have seen them recently, the set hasnt changed. It is pretty much entirely from the cd. But they def throw it down if you enjoy the trance they play - I sure do.

Element Y, thanks for the news. I love their CD and their songs...So it is good news and that includes a lot of their vocal songs...Ohh I am sooo excited.. So how is going to the virgin store on sunday. I am gonna be there, buy their CD and get it signed...

totally craving some above & beyond style trance. been doing a lot of techno and house and harder stuff, so tonight should be refreshing. looking forward to it!

How'd this go? Was totally hoping to go, but ended up passing out at like 7pm and woke up at 5am and missed everythign. DOH.

Heard it was really good from 2Tall. Funny story was that there was a pre-party where Tony and Pavo stopped by earlier and when Pavo asked me if I was going I was like "um I'm a bit tranced out, I'm going back to the End Up for more techno then 1015s basement" Jamie James set at the End Up was nuts though!

A&B was great as always, if you have seen them before you pretty much know what they played; signature A&B sound.

Pros:
- A&B tore it like usual
- Sound was best I've heard at Ruby in a long time; though still REAL loud
- Cleared out quite a bit by 2:30

Con:
- Line to get into Ruby Skye was LONG, I don't remember such a long line at Ruby in quite a while.
- Someone set off a stink bomb in one of the booth area and it had to be cleared out, but I wasn't there anyways.
- Ton of rude and pushy people
- Ton of rollers taking up to much space
- Unusually bad body odor night
- COLD, I think they overcompensated for the nice day but I've never seen a club so packed and be so cold!!

I definitely would have enjoyed it more at 1015, however A&B did a great job.

I noticed that a group of Brits were rather pungent.

Yeah, about that stink bomb: was it all that white powder?? It wasn't in the DJ both, it was above thew speakers on the right side!! WTF was that whtie powder?? It made me choke, and I coouldn't breathe!! Can anyone help explain why this happened? It got in my eyes, hair, and all over everyone!! I stink bomb usually smells like rotten eggs, but a huge could of dust??
