Anyone amalgamating trance and electro house?

Do you know of any producers who have attempted to fuse trance and electro house?

Yes, sadly.

Are you serious?

It's harder to find producers who aren't creating "electrance".

Rank 1, Wippenberg and Cosmic Gate are the first three that spring to mind.

Up there with some of the most aurally offensive electronic music being made imo.

these two genres should not be mixed

trance should be trance, hypnotic, repetitive, gradually progressing / taking you on a journey etc...

electro should be about being awesome and fun and phat basslines and cowbell percussion and all that good stuff

(and electro house / clash should not be mixed with trance either)

some of the wisest words uttered here in a long time.

ferry corsten was the first name to come to mind, but hes not really doing the electro thing anymore. and electro trance as a whole is slowing becoming less produced and played. some producers like wippenberg still do it, but i like his music. rank 1 and cosmic gate dont do electro trance, lol wtf....cosmic gate is more vocal/uplifting trance then their older harder stuff and rank 1 is doing progressive stuff now as opposed to their uplifting/epic stuff.

although maybe I'm being a hypocrite because I really liked that Gareth Emery vs Lange track 'Another You Another Me' which was definitely epic trance with an electro house bassline.

I don't understand what's so supposedly electro house about that. It's an abrasive bass sound, that's it.

Iam so fuckin glad to see this whole electro trance garbage is finally coming to an end. That era was the worst ever in trance music.

I could live with electro trance. I just hope I dont have to live through minimal trance.
