Using Vocals
I've been a trance producer for about 7 years using fruity loops and various plugins but recently I've tryed to work on making tracks that include vocals. I've used cool edit for cutting the vocals from tracks but was wondering if theres any programs you can use for changing the bpms since whenever I pull the vocals in they're still at the original tracks bpm setting. Any other tips for vocals would be great
cheers (sorry if theres already a post on this)

Most .wav editors (e.g., Sound Forge, Wavelab) have time-stretching and tempo-altering capabilities. Audacity is a free wav editor, but I'm not sure if it has this feature or not - someone else may know. It can also be done with Melodyne. I'm not sure about other DAWs, but Sonar also has a couple of tempo-changing features (Audio Snap, Fit-to-tempo) that work pretty well.
One thing you'll find with all of these, is that you'll generally get the best results with the smallest tempo changes. Trying to change the tempo of a vocal track from, for example, 100 bpm to 140 bpm will likely introduce some audible artifacts and/or just sound very unnatural.
