Sneaker Pimp EDC on Crutches???

Hi everyone, I'm trying to go to EDC and ahve my ticket. I've been waiting for the longest time and I really want to go.

Problem is, I dislocated my knee a few weeks ago and am walking with crutches. I have on a knee brace and I know I won't be able to dance. My friend said she would be willing to sit with me on the bleachers the whole night.

Do you think the security will let me in even if I am using crutches?? And do you think people will let me by and not shove me seeing my disability??

I hope I can attend and even if I wont be able to move around a lot and go on the rides, I want to sit and roll and enjoy Menno and Benny.

Hope you can help me out. Thanks a lot!!

do you think it's smart to "roll" while you're hurting?

i bet you he's not on a wheelchair. read the thread title.

I think you'll be considered a "handicap" and probably get special access and stuff. Also, there's NO reason why Security shouldn't let you in. You'd probably be better off on a wheelchair.

those long stairways down to the main arena in the coliseum will ruin your day, crutches or wheel chair. They ruined mine, and i had fresh legs!!

I would sort out if they have special access for disabled to get down there, otherwise you will be in for a long night

Totally. People can easily realize that youre in a wheelchair but the crutches are probably hard to see. They also will probably shove you walking down the steps to the coliseum, which are really dangerous.

Rent a wheelchair for the weekend, I totally recommend that you do this instead.

I've seen plenty of people at raves and elsewhere (like Circus) in wheelchairs

Unhappy

So how long are the stairs down to the main arena??

Should I call the Colliseum administrators to find out if there's a handicap passageway or should I call the main guys for the event?

Do you think if I go there earlier, like lets say at 3ish, there will be no one and they'll let me in still so that there is no traffic going down?

I really really want to go but now I'm having some second thougts because of what you guys are saying. By the way, how much are tickets going for these days?

oh you'll be fine! couple years ago my friend went to coachella on crutches...and some dude was trying to shove him into a mosh pit. my friend clocked him up side the head - and security came over and told the guy to get his ass off the floor and stop messing with the injured. classic.

haha very funny, no im not Andrew Bynum, but a big Lakers Fan..

Do you know what time they open the doors to actually start letting people in?? I want to see Menno the most but I think he'll be playing earlier.

Are the attractions really that crazy?? I hope I wont be missing out on much because I am injured.

Do you think the arena has a special room, or area where handicap people can chill, (yet I dont wanna be in a room full of retards)

Do the wheel chair thing.

im pretty sure the sports arena colloseum is handicap accesible to guests... you will be fine in a wheelchair, nowadays every public arena in the US has to apply building codes that require handicap accesibility all the way down to bathroom and exits and ways to get back to your car... you should be solid my friend... enjoy the show!!! get there early cut lines!!! like in disneyland!!!! =)

They open at 4pm.

All venues must have handicap access, you can chill in the stands if you don't want to be out on the grass field in the middle.

Dude! Borrow a wheel chair! I'll push you around and dance along side of you but when I get tired...
I'm sitting on your lap!
