U-HE Zebra II

Does anybody use this softsynth? I've been considering it lately because I feel like i need a change from z3ta. Any advice?

love it! my fav synth i've ever used!!! a lot of people say it sounds thin but i don't know what the fuck they are talking about.

its definetly my main workhorse

i've listened to some demos and they don't sound that thin to me...but then again, they ARE just demos lol

i like it.... it is cool cuz it comes with the zeebralette (sp?)

i use it for quirky sounds... not for my main bass sounds or for super fat pads or anything... but i find it a very easy synth to make the squeeky squeeks with...

I believe Lolo uses it as well?

I used z3ta for a while, but zebra is definitely the spiritual upgrade to it.

The GUI is a bit different but once you get used to it etc... you will understand why it is set up that way.

Zebra is my favourite! Its way better than z3ta in my opinion.

tis not what you use, its how you use it. most people will never unlock the potential

to say that zeebra is better than z3ta... is silly...

they're SO different... and i say you should use them both if you can...

hell yes i wanna use them both. but i really do want a change in interface. maybe i should hold back for a while and instead focus on better sound design before i think spending lots of money on some new plugin will suddenly help me be better at it. back to tutorials i suppose...lol

The best way to get better at sound design is to do it. Reading tutorials won't help you much. But, if there is a certain sound or you don't know the parts to the synth and what they do then reading tutorials is a must.
