Oh no, that sucks! I love what he said about why baseball is america's game (vs. football). Will try to find that clip later.

I heard about this on my way out the door to work this morning. Such a shame I really enjoyed his comedy.

Posted by phoenixBEBE on Jun-23-2008 13:19:

Definitely sad news. He was one of my most favorite comedians since college when I started listening/watching his acts. Such an original, and he def paved the way for others.

I idn't know him for his comedy but was interesting cast member on Thomas & Friends

Posted by ReenTeenTeen on Jun-23-2008 21:57:

I am very sad about this
He is my top 5 favorite stand up comedians of all time.
Its very rare to hear American comedians talk sense with humor.

I am a forever fan.

i can't say i've ever really "felt anything" when seeing the death of a prominent figure in the news, but i couldn't help but feel sad today when seeing carlin died. he'll be missed

Posted by The Vza on Jun-23-2008 23:01:

Carlin's last fuck you to the Catholic Church was dying on Sunday... so now every sunday can be remembered as Carlin's last day, instead of mass...

brilliant comedian. brilliant man... *sigh* rip george

Its too bad he never got to see his plan for the 4 square states go into effect.... we'll miss you George!

He loved being a footnote in history over the seven dirty words you can't say on television and free speech debacle.

Was lucky enough to catch him on his last tour through DC. Very sad to lose such a hilarious and prolific comedian.
