speaking of the weather... is it just me or have weather newscasters been sucking extra hard lately?? forecasts have been noticebly more inaccurate than accurate imo... they're getting paid for doing something they suck at. No one should get paid to suck. Nuh huh.

As much as we want to blame the forecasters its really not their fault. They are doing their job to the best of their ability, its just Canadian weather has become sooo unpredictable.

I think its hailing downtown toronto...

What does that mean? And could someone please tell me when their is no hail expected in RHill/Markham/Scarborough so I can go home?

Posted by VERTiG0 on Jun-23-2008 20:02:

Loud, close thunder right now. Light rain earlier, then sun, and now this.

I'm hoping there's still some left over for us here by the time it gets down!

Even worse in the 'bridge. I understand that forecasts are just probabilities, but somehow we've managed to defy the odds on about 12 of the last 14 days. At least give me something accurate enough to decide on long sleeves or short sleeves...

We had massive hail here yesterday too. Opened my car door for 1/8th of a second and had a friggin' floor and seat full of golf balls. Garbage. I swear, if it does this during any part of the Canada Day weekend I'm going to have to kill someone with a rusty saw.

yes.

downtown core has been spared almost every "severe thunderstorm" the guessers have called for lately.

north of us and south of us seem to get hammered, but we've seen very little "severe" weather other than rain.

I take a look at current radar/satellite images and go from there because anything more than a few hours old has been virtually worthless the last few weeks, lol.

Posted by smuncky on Jun-24-2008 01:49:

heat island effect.
