No(t that I know of, and I'd be very surprised if it did exist)
Just record it onto your PC, minidisc or DAT, that's what I'd say...

IMHO, minidisc decks are the best recording solution

inexpensive, durable media, good record time, great sound quality, and commonly available !

yeah, but ATRAC compression can be nasty sometimes.

it sounds... pretty good, but not as good as a raw wav file.

true.. ive seen the earlier ATRAC decks sometimes have some weird effects.. but ive yet to hear this on my newer sony MD Deck w/ ATRAC version 4

Yes but you'd convert the wav to mp3 anyway, and I must say I like attrac sound quality equally good/better then mp3

I read in a forum once that there is a special cd-player that can record onto cd LIVE and that's how some djs record their live sets. Dunno.

yes, these devices exist and are at your local best buy or whatever kinda consumer electronics shop are in your area. they were about $250 last time i checked, if i recall. they use CDRW-Audio discs, which just about every bestbuy and compusa has TONS of.

i just dont like CDs, period... so I use minidiscs

WOW that's quite cheap for a cd-writer that can record audio onto cd live. I'll check out local prices and maybe I'll buy one Offcoarse everyone has his/her own opinion but may I ask why u don't like cds? after all they are the most popular format.

It's not so much I dislike CDs, its more I just feel they are a highly basic, fairly pathetic digital medium :P

minidisc advantages
a) have editing capability - i can split my mix into tracks AFTER recording it, with no real effort.
b) tracks can be shuffled, deleted, moved, etc etc on the fly
c) standard media, available, can record mono for 150 min on alot of decks (including mine)
d) can be played in small, inexpensive portable players that have excellent skip protection (IE: I can listen to last nights session on the go, with easy, without skips)
e) I can throw around the minidiscs like tapes, and they dont get damaged.

that's enough reason to dig minidiscs right there
