Wimbledon 2008 - Who's your tip to Win?

So, once again, this time of year is upon us. The only 2 weeks in the year where the majority of people in the UK get their old racquets out from the attic and take-up/play tennis.

So, who's your tip for both the men and women this time around?

The likely suspects are Federer/Nadal/Djokovic but is someone capable of raining on their parade and upsetting the odds? Murray? Ancic?

What about the sultry women? Ivanovic? Sharapova? The Williams' Brothers?

I'g gonna go for Federer (there's a surprise) in the men's and Sharapova in the women's end.

Yeah I saw that today, I don't know what's worse, this or that god awful white jacket last year. Still, the man oozes class and can wear whatever the fuck he wants when he's at his best.

i had no idea that trunks liked tennis. federer is an animal. there's a few other good players but that goes to show how dominant federer really is.

never had a thing for tennis players, except their legs, which are the best in the business next to a gymnast.

nothing like watching some good tennis in the weekend ........

Posted by Unique2701 on Jun-28-2008 22:56:

Federer for men's tennis, and one of the mr. Williams.

I'm amazed Safin beat Djokovic, I had lost 99,9% of my hope in him hehe

Posted by partyhopper on Jun-30-2008 21:25:

It's not very often in a Grand Slam that the top 4 seeds on the women's side are all out before the quarterfinals.

Also, pretty exciting comeback by Andy Murray against Gasquet

It's down to Serena Vs. Venus in the Ladies' Final, and Federer Vs. Nadal in Gentlemen's. Both should be good, and I think Nadal can take Federer if he's at the top of his game (and avoids some of errors he made today).

Posted by Jasperovitsj on Jul-04-2008 21:26:

Nadal was pretty impressive, but Federer seems to be growing towards his best form again. So it'll be a close final once again, where the smallest error could decide over win or loss.

My money's on Federer though, he'll be wanting a revenge for Roland Garros, and Borg's record within his grasp should motivate him extra.

Posted by LeopoldStotch on Jul-05-2008 14:29:

surprisingly, the women's finals is turning out to be a very competitive match. venus having trouble with first serves, and serena can't seem to make the next jump to break venus. we'll see what happens .....

Supporting Rafa always

Posted by partyhopper on Jul-05-2008 18:12:

For the first time in a long time, Venus is able to beat Serena in a Grand Slam final

Posted by LeopoldStotch on Jul-05-2008 18:51:

wimbledon is venus's tournament.

Posted by LeopoldStotch on Jul-06-2008 13:54:

great opening so far ....

Posted by Jasperovitsj on Jul-06-2008 14:52:

Rafa is looking like he could finally break Federer's hegemony on the Wimbledon grass this year.
