Which Los Angeles based house DJ's bring the most heads to an event?

As a promoter, I always wonder which names bring out crowds by themselves and not just my personal contacts.

Can anyone think of some good DJ's to hire and can pull their weight?

Humpty & Dan. They both have big crowds.

he hasnt gone by humpty in a long time. He said he only did that because it was "Humpty" or no radio show.

Yeah definitely Richard Vission & David Garcia...

It's been a while since the last time Vission & Garcia combo, both from the Soulmatic label

They usually throw their own events. Either for Vission's birtday or around Christmas. Garcia played a couple Tuesdays ago for David Delano's birthday.

Most of those Solmatic label guys have their shit straight. Doug Otero is pretty good also.

These DJ's you all mentioned cost a couple grand I imagine. (Vission and Dan).

I was thinking more along the lines of under a grand. More like 4 or 500. You figure, if you are charging $10 a head. If they charge let say $800, they must bring 80 paying heads just to break even.

I guess I am looking for a DJ, who not only DJ's, but promotes his butt off. (Not sure if it exists)

no... every promoter is constantly looking for an artist that is both good and can draw crowd.

As a promoter looking for Local DJ's, you have to keep your eyes open and ask around.

Well that sounds like me Don't think I got the pull you're looking for yet. Plus, I generally promote my ass off for other DJs. And I'm a little more tech prog than house.
Forget I said anything.
So how you doing Mikey?

Well the thing is. As much as I love house and EDM, the crowd I pull likes to hear top 40, hip hop and Persian. So I am debating on whether I should start a new weekly with 2 rooms. One with house and one with Kiis FM music. lol

Yes you do! And not only do you promote yourself, you are a great quality person as well! Unfortunately, I missed your recent sets @ Vanguard and King King. Soon...
