[Breaks] G&D - Tracking Treasure Down (Altea Remix)
This is a breaks remix of Tracking Treasure Down that I'm working on atm. It's the first breaks track I've made, and I'm a bit stuck with it, and could need a few opinions..

Enjoy, hopefully.
I don't know why everyone's so obsessed about remixing this awful track but I took a listen anyways since you said it was breaks...
The main thing about the track is that everything's very basic and simplistic, there doesn't seem to be much depth to the track. The percussion in particular is just too thin to carry the track - it sounds like you just looped the same thing over and over. Basically you need to have more of everything. The part during the intro where there's nothing more than the beat and the vocals sounded empty in particular.
Track-wise it sounds more like a trance track with breaks drums the way you have it now rather than proper breaks, which wouldn't be bad if the idea was executed properly. Now it kinda feels like it only goes half way there... but then again you said you're still working on it so I kinda expected it too.
And those vocals... I just cannot stand them. They're awful, horrible, terrible! But... well... I can hardly blame you for that, can I
Thanks for listening.. I don't know why everyone's so obsessed about remixing it either, I just happened to have the acapella laying about..
Well, as I said, it's my first try on breaks, so I'm still trying to get my head around the basics..
Thanks for the feedback though. About the only the drums and bass, I thought it was kinda the intention to make it feel a bit empty, with only those parts. It might not work though, though it sounded good to me. And I'm getting what you mean about it going only halfway there, I just can't find anything better to add..
Those emptier parts could work if you added some FX to the background and maybe some drum variation. It's not a bad idea.
