The UBM-owned station closed at the end of last year, but will now be brought back from the
dead following a deal which saw independent production company Power TV buy the name,

David Henry, Power MD, said that the channel would make a soft launch via Sky Digital on June
14, gearing up to a full launch some time in November. Rapture will still rely on clubbing
programming heavily, but will also feature extreme sports, comedy, indie music and gameshows.

The venture will relocate to Edinburgh and create up to 30 jobs in production over the coming six
months. "The lower operating costs that Edinburgh will offer the new channel will help ensure a
successful and profitable future," explained Henry.

Top news! Most of you lads which regulary go to Gatecrasher will have been shown on live TV on this channel at some stage... I always stayed up till 6am to watch these live events broadcasted, used to say to me self, i'll go to bed in a minute, then a quality tuuune wud get played and that was me, fucked the next day

i loved it when i used to come back from a canage weekend and could see exactly wot i was a part of!!

their live sets were brilliant!..always live links to slinky and godskitchen..but best of al the 1st NEC!...

after coming back from that i stayed up and watched the whole thing again..searching for me and my buddies on t.v!!

its long overdue!!!

it will be the same as b4 really, rememebr they had extreme sports and indie music til 6, then they started all the good clubbing stuff . i rememebr staying up late to see godskitchen live march lats year, with ferry armin jules n tiesto (i think) was fuckin mint! another good thing is they ALWAYS repeat the broadcasts at a later date, so if u were there u can get nostalgia n experience it all over agen

Wicked at last a good music channel has returned. Only flaw with Rapture is the extreme sports and music like Garage which unfortunatly sometimes turns up on there, but who knows hopefully a new style Rapture like the old minus all the poo bits.

Skysurfing rules

I really want to do that one day. Very few people do it as a specialty though. I read somewhere that there probably isn't much more than 100 dedicated skysurfers in the world.

What do they mean it will make a "soft launch" in June and be full time later? The channel will only be on a few hours a day until then?

It might be worth getting sky for this

woooooooooowwwwwwww wicked, i loved Rapture, especialy the live broadcasts, the Crasher NEC was sooooooooo rockin, i recorded it but missed the Junkie XL and half of Sister Bliss's set so i will just have to hope it shows it again. when was the broadcast from amnesia that someone mentioned? i must have missed it, (damn). neway hope loads of live sets this year, and things can only get better
