ATTN: DJs with iPods (and others with iPods too)
this is apparently one of the best recording solutions out there based on some reviews..

* Supplies 48V phantom power to inputs when wall-powered
* Records 16-Bit, 44.1kHz or 22kHz stereo
* Two built-in condenser microphones for detailed recording
* Built-in microphones in XY configuration for optimum stereo image
* Switchable limiter ensures overload-free recordings even in unpredictable aural situations

as good as alesis is in the industry, the whole ipod sound quality for recording would deter me. a friend of mine just got an olympus digital recorder with two built-in microphones. he tested it at a toronto fc game (with the microphones) and a recorded set and it sounds PERFECT. he used to have the m-audio micro track which was pretty good but it doesnt even compare to the olympus when it comes to sound quality.
