D. Ramirez (UK)
Voted DJ Magazine's Best British Producer and Best British Remixer, his remix of Bodyrox Yeah Yeah got nominated for an Ivor Novello award, which also achieved huge chart success in several countries. Underground smashes with La Discotek, Pleasure Me, System, Throb and Columbian Soul, two Ministry of Sound mix albums (Sessions & Discotek) and an album of his own productions & remixes.
D.Ramirez (aka Dean Marriott) is one of the hottest properties in Dance music today, with three top twenty singles to his name (including a number 5!) and is currently regarded as one of the most credible and versatile producers around, including huge remixes for Body Rox, Plump DJs, Roger Sanchez, and Ferry Corsten. His most recent huge track was a collaboration with Meat Katie, Stop the Revolution, which has been remixed by Dubfire, 30hz, and others.
2006 was a massive year for D.Ramirez with underground and chart success with his remix of Bodyrox 'Yeah Yeah', stella remixes for Roger Sanchez, Ferry Corsten & The Plump DJs and his own release 'La Discotek' which made Dean the producer on everybody's lips, in fact IDJ named him ..4 Player of Year!
2007 has been another big year with Deans first compilation album release. The Ministry of Sound Session album has been given best compilation by DJ and Mixmag magazines whilst picking up massive plaudits from the rest of the worlds dance press. Deans even had time to release another mix compilation for Ministry Australia supported with a two week tour and his 'La discotek' mix is also being supported heavily down under. May saw D.Ramirez get his first Essential mix aired on Radio One and he's also had a string of hits with collaborations with Mark Knight on Toolroom (Colombian Soul, Throb, System) and Dmitry Bobrov (Pleasure Me) on his own label Slave. With forthcoming tracks featuring vocals from Luciana & TC and even more projects on the way it looks like nothing is going to stop D.Ramirez.
